Today’s vastly complex, globalized, and fast-evolving world requires a different kind of leadership. Rapid change and increasing uncertainty require new entrepreneurial leaders, able to shift fluidly between analytic vs action based approaches in the midst of considerable unknowns. Guiding this different way of thinking and acting is a worldview in which the goal is simultaneous creation of social, environmental, and economic value.

Entrepreneurial leadership is inspired by, but is separate from, entrepreneurship. It is defined as a leadership approach relevant to any organizational situation, not only start-ups. The entrepreneurial leader proactively identifies opportunities through creativity, innovation and market understanding and executes through inspiration while aligning relationships to achieve common goals. The best entrepreneurial leaders empower their employees to act on their vision for the organization.
